This type of glass fiber rope is constructed of high quality glass fiber that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 540℃. This material resists most acids and alkalis and is highly flexible and conformable.

The fiberglass ropes are usually used for wrapping the rollers in the exit of heating section and the entrance of quenching section. The typical size used in glass tempering industry is 5.5 x 5.5mm for Tamglass ovens and 8 x 4mm for Landglass furnaces. The flat fiberglass tapes are also used in pre-lamination oven of PVB film autoclaving glass lamination line. The common sizes of tape for wrapping the nipping rollers in glass lamination line is 55mm width, 3mm or 6mm thickness.
