Fortemp PBO Knitting Sleeves are made of 100% PBO fiber yarns. PBO, the abbreviation for Polyphenylene Benzobisoxazole, is also known under its trade name Zylon. It is also the strongest and stiffest of commercially available fibers. Therefore, its cost is also more expensive than Kevlar. In the field of hot glass processing, PBO knitting sleeves are usually for covering the bending rollers in automotive windshield bending and tempering chambers. The bending rollers sheathed with PBO sleeves can prevent from the roller marks remained in hot glass surface. Besides the application to glass bending process, PBO knitting sleeves are also adopted by a few types of glass digital printing machines for covering their rollers in drying ovens.
